Millions of YouTube TV subscribers can now redeem a credit good toward December\u2019s bill following a dispute with Disney. Although the two sides were finally able to come to an agreement to bring Disney-owned channels back to the streaming service, subscribers can still cash in on the offer. <\/p>\n
The credit is good for $20 off the next month of YouTube TV service and cannot be applied to the current bill. Subscribers have until Dec. 9 to claim the credit and must do so through their existing YouTube TV account. <\/p>\n
To redeem the credit, subscribers must visit the settings menu and select the \u201cupdates\u201d section. From there, subscribers will see a message explaining the dispute with Disney and that a $20 credit has been issued. After clicking on the \u201cclaim credit\u201d button, the subscriber is notified that the credit has been redeemed and will be applied toward next month\u2019s bill. <\/p>\n
The credit is available because of a standoff between the two media giants that left subscribers missing out on several popular shows and sports broadcasts. ABC, Disney Channel, FX and the full lineup of ESPN channels were all missing from YouTube TV from Oct. 30 to Nov. 14. <\/p>\n
The two sides ended the standoff Friday, but financial terms of the agreement were not released. Disney-owned channels began showing up on the platform over the weekend. <\/p>\n
