Apple has released the third iOS 26.2 beta for iPhone. The developer beta version is available as an over-the-air update starting today.<\/p>\n
iOS 26.2 introduces a number of new features and improvements, including changes<\/a> to the Sleep Score system.<\/p>\n The top rating has been renamed from \u201cExcellent\u201d to \u201cVery High,\u201d and the thresholds for all categories have been recalibrated following feedback that the previous scoring felt overly generous.<\/p>\n The update also brings improvements to Apple Podcasts<\/a> through AI, which now automatically generates chapters, links to mentioned podcasts, and organizes related content.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the Apple News app<\/a> gains a more refined layout with quick links to popular sections as part of Apple\u2019s ongoing design updates.<\/p>\n Additional enhancements include the expansion<\/a> of AirPods Live Translation to European Union countries. <\/p>\n The update also introduces<\/a> a Liquid Glass Lock Screen slider that allows for more precise control over clock translucency across fonts.<\/p>\n The Reminders app<\/a> gains the ability to trigger alarms and timers for urgent tasks, ensuring notifications can bypass Focus modes for maximum visibility.<\/p>\n CarPlay adds the ability to disable pinned conversations in Messages, and the level tool in the Measure app has an all-new Liquid Glass-inspired design.<\/p>\n We expect iOS 26.2 to officially launch in December.
