(The project received a sizable <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/film\/news\/california-films-millions-jumanji-heat-2-1236557293\/\">$37.2 million in tax credits<\/a> from the California Film Commission to shoot in the state.) Plot details for \u201cHeat 2\u201d haven\u2019t been revealed, though Mann adapted the screenplay from the 2022 New York Times-bestselling novel that he co-wrote with Meg Gardiner. Producers will include Mann, Jerry Bruckheimer, and UA\u2019s Scott Stuber and Nick Nesbitt. Eric Roth and Shane Salerno will serve as executive producers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cHeat,\u201d which celebrates its 30th anniversary in December, follows an explosive face-off between a Los Angeles Police Department detective (Pacino) and a career thief (De Niro). Ferrari,\u201d which Mann executive produced. Bale will next be seen as Frankenstein\u2019s monster opposite Jessie Buckley in Maggie Gyllenhaal\u2019s \u201cThe Bride!\u201d. He\u2019ll also portray Raiders owner Al Davis in \u201cMadden\u201d from David O. Russell.
