Incoming Celtic boss Wilfried Nancy <\/a>reckons Columbus Crew star turn Diego Rossi boasts a work ethic without comparison with the striker eyeing a return to Europe.<\/p>\n

Nancy went public with his glowing praise after the forward showed off his mettle by grabbing a goal and an assist against Puebla days after suffering heartache by missing two penalties in Crew’s agonising Leagues Cup defeat to Toluca.<\/p>\n

Uruguay international Rossi wants to return to Europe after previously spending time with Fenerbache<\/a> after earning a money-spinning \u00a36m move to the Turkish giants from LAFC.<\/p>\n

Rossi was never able to cement himself as a bonafide starter, however he has established himself as an MLS standout as he won the title in Columbus before landing the Leagues Cup and their run to the CONCACAF Final.<\/p>\n

But Nancy adores his talisman and he showered him with praise over his dedication with Celtic set to be in the market for a fresh running man amid Daizen Maeda’s looming exit<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Speaking to MLS Soccer<\/a>, Nancy said: \u201cHe was so sad (after his missed penalty). For me, I don\u2019t believe in luck. He has the best work ethic on the team. I\u2019m really happy for him because he deserved it tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old is beloved among the Columbus Crew fanbase but he believes the time may be right to make the next move in his career.<\/p>\n

Rossi said: \u201cI returned to a team that won MLS Cup, Leagues Cup. It was a great way to come back to the league.<\/p>\n

“I continue to learn, continue to work hard, and right now I\u2019m really enjoying my football. Regarding Europe, I\u2019m here right now, and we\u2019ll see what happens in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n
