How we rank teams changed in recent weeks, with the\u00a0College Football Playoff<\/a>\u00a0rankings being released. The AP poll remains active but not in the sense of determining who makes it into the 12-team field. And while the same can be said about the BCS, those are still being released by the X account \u2018BCS Know How.\u2019<\/p>\n

Monday brought the\u00a0latest top 25<\/a>\u00a0from college football\u2019s old method of determining the national champion. If nothing else, it\u2019s a sneak peek at what the committee puts out in just over 24 hours from now.<\/p>\n

There is some change throughout due to Week 11 results. Let\u2019s check out the full thing below, beginning with the reigning national champions.<\/p>\n

Ohio State continues to roll through the Big Ten like it\u2019s nothing. Since the opening win over Texas, the closest margin of victory for Ryan Day<\/a>\u2018s club is 18 (vs. Illinois<\/a> and Washington<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Two more games remain for the Buckeyes, beginning with Rutgers<\/a> on Saturday. But everyone knows what game means more than anything at the moment, going to Ann Arbor two days after Thanksgiving.<\/p>\n

Again, nothing has changed when it comes to who occupies the No. 2 spot. Indiana remains undefeated and projects to be as such when the regular season ends.<\/p>\n

Purdue<\/a> is the final team left on the schedule and a win sends the Hoosiers to Indianapolis. Curt Cignetti<\/a> wants to keep the dream year alive, looking to better what IU accomplished in 2024. <\/p>\n

Around 12:45 p.m. CT on Saturday, nobody would have expected Texas A&M to still be here. Going into the halftime locker room down 30-3, an upset loss seemed almost inevitable for the Aggies.<\/p>\n

Instead, Kyle Field worked its magic and willed Mike Elko<\/a>\u2018s team to a come-from-behind win over South Carolina<\/a>. One folks in College Station will remember for a long time, no matter what takes place in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

The biggest Saturday statement likely calls Athens, GA, home. Georgia\u2019s final SEC game of the year was a big one, taking down Texas by 25 points due to a suffocating second-half.<\/p>\n

With that comes some movement in the BCS rankings. The Bulldogs are up to No. 4 and would receive a bye if this were what popped up on the screen on Selection Sunday.<\/p>\n

Things have never been better for Ole Miss, at least when it comes to the on-field product. A win against Florida<\/a> and losses ahead of the Rebels put them inside the top five for the first time this season.<\/p>\n

Just one game is left on the schedule, facing Mississippi State<\/a> in the Egg Bowl after a bye. But right now, the big question is whether or not Lane Kiffin<\/a> will be on the sidelines moving forward.<\/p>\n

Oregon checks in at No. 6 in the BCS rankings after winning on Friday night vs. Minnesota<\/a>. A good spot to be heading into the final stretch.<\/p>\n

Some familiar faces fall on the schedule, going back to the glory days of the Pac-12. Dan Lanning<\/a> knows two wins might be required to get his program back into the dance.<\/p>\n

As the Big 12 looks to break through in the College Football Playoff, Texas Tech continues to lead the way this season. No other team from the conference ranks inside the top 10 per the BCS, having a couple just on the cusp.<\/p>\n

To no surprise, there is set to be some Big 12 drama in the final two weekends. Texas Tech has to feel pretty good about where they stand, though.<\/p>\n

Oklahoma needed a win in Tuscaloosa to keep its College Football Playoff hopes alive. The Sooners delivered in a big way, getting a victory that Brent Venables<\/a> can hang his hat on for quite some time.<\/p>\n

Now, the path to get into the 12-team field is certainly there. The BCS puts them on the right side of the bubble, even having a little extra room for the time being.<\/p>\n

Notre Dame continues to be one of the more debated teams this season. But different sets of rankings have loved the Fighting Irish through, including the BCS.<\/p>\n

Some will keep an eye out to see who is in front between Notre Dame and Alabama. The BCS says advantage Marcus Freeman<\/a>, at least for now.<\/p>\n

Losing at home hurts, even when facing a quality opponent. Alabama slid all the way down to No. 10 in the BCS standings, getting in the mix with multiple other two-loss teams.<\/p>\n

If this were the final edition of the rankings, Alabama would be the final at-large team in the field. More work can be done, including earning a spot in the SEC Championship with a win over Auburn<\/a>.<\/p>\n
