The develoPPP Ventures Ideas Competition 2026 supports young entrepreneurs whose innovative business models improve living conditions in developing or emerging countries. Selected companies receive non-dilutive capital of 100,000 euros through a matching-funds model funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\u2022 Your company is registered in the target country or plans to register before the co-financed investment.
\u2022 You are pursuing an innovative business model and already generating initial revenues as proof of concept.
\u2022 Your business model has strong development relevance and scalability.
\u2022 Your work contributes directly to the Sustainable Development Goals.<\/p>\n
Eligible Companies<\/p>\n
\u2022 The company is registered in the target country or will register before investment.
\u2022 The company is privately owned and profit-oriented.
\u2022 At least one annual financial statement is available.
\u2022 A viable business plan and financial plan are ready.
\u2022 The company is operational and has generated its first revenues.
\u2022 Total funding previously received does not exceed two million euros.<\/p>\n
Funding Conditions<\/p>\n
\u2022 DEG Impulse and GIZ provide non-dilutive capital of 100,000 euros.
\u2022 A potential top-up may be available in the second phase.
\u2022 Companies must secure matching funds equal to the non-dilutive capital from external investors.
\u2022 Matching funds received up to six months before the application are acceptable if still available.
\u2022 External funds must be secured before develoPPP disbursement.
\u2022 Funds must be used in the registered target country.
\u2022 The investment proposal must be financially sound with a clear purpose.
\u2022 Full commercial financing should not yet be possible at the current stage.<\/p>\n
