It\u00a0helped expand the upscale <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bisnow.com\/tags\/golf-course\" target=\"_blank\" data-tag-id=\"35873\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">golf course<\/a> and country club company\u2019s portfolio through 14 acquisitions, bringing Concert Golf\u2019s total locations to 39 across the U.S,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/clearlake.com\/news\/clearlake-exits-its-investment-in-concert-golf-partners-as-bain-capital-invests-to-support-further-growth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">according to a\u00a0press release from the company<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">It isn\u2019t clear what the valuation of the sale to Bain is, though sources <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2025-11-17\/bain-capital-strikes-deal-for-clearlake-owned-concert-golf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">told\u00a0Bloomberg News<\/a>\u00a0that it could be more than $1.3B, including debt.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Clearlake declined\u00a0Bisnow\u2019s request to comment on\u00a0why the company decided to exit at this time. Bain didn\u2019t respond to a request for comment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cThe partnership with Clearlake has been invaluable for Concert Golf,\u201d Concert Golf CEO Peter Nanula said in the press release. \u201cWith their support, we have significantly enhanced our capabilities, expanded our portfolio of top clubs, and built a world-class team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Golf skyrocketed in popularity during the coronavirus pandemic, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bisnow.com\/national\/news\/commercial-real-estate\/the-great-golf-course-contraction-is-over-118485\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">courses continue to hold on to the pandemic boost<\/a>. The National Golf Foundation\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ngf.org\/the-clubhouse\/golf-industry-research\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">reports participation has increased by 45%<\/a> since it began tracking data in 2016.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cThe question we get most often is, \u2018Is this sustainable?\u2019 and the data that we see, we don\u2019t see a lot of things that are pointing south,\u201d foundation CEO Greg Nathan <a href=\"http:\/\/sportsbusinessjournal.com\/Articles\/2025\/06\/11\/golfs-participation-continues-surging-in-years-after-pandemic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">told\u00a0Sports Business Journal<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Concert Golf, headquartered in Lake Mary, Florida,\u00a0will look to take advantage of that trend by opening more locations under Bain&#8217;s ownership.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Concert Golf \u201cis well positioned to further build on that success and continue expanding its portfolio of premier clubs,\u201d Bain Capital partner\u00a0Jennifer Davis\u00a0said in the release.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Goldman\u00a0Sachs and Rothschild &amp; Co. acted as financial advisers for Bain Capital, and Kirkland &amp; Ellis\u00a0acted as legal counsel. Moelis &amp; Co. acted as financial adviser for Clearlake and Concert Golf, and Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen &amp; Katz acted as legal counsel.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Bain Capital\u00a0has purchased Concert Golf Partners from Clearlake Capital Group in a deal that could top $1.3B.
