Ca\u00f1on City Police detectives recently secured arrest warrants for three individuals in connection with a daylight residential burglary that occurred Nov. 3 in the 900 block of Park Avenue.<\/p>\n
Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered that several items, including multiple firearms and thousands of dollars\u2019 worth of jewelry, had been stolen. After interviewing the victim and neighbors, officers learned that the burglary occurred during daylight hours, shortly before the victim returned home. Video surveillance from the neighborhood helped identify at least two people of interest. Detectives followed multiple leads, ultimately identifying three suspects.<\/p>\n
On Nov. 5, detectives worked alongside Fremont County SWAT and executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1200 block of Tennessee Ave. in unincorporated Fremont County. They recovered evidence and firearms believed to be connected to the burglary.<\/p>\n
During the search, Jacob Hill, 36, of Ca\u00f1on City was arrested on an unrelated warrant and remains in custody. A separate arrest warrant for Hill\u2019s alleged involvement in the burglary was issued Nov. 17. Arrest warrants also were secured for Richard Jones, 46, and Danyelle Seifried, 38, both of Ca\u00f1on City.<\/p>\n

In a recent CCPD press release, Police Chief John Schick attributed the success of the base to the unwavering dedication and professionalism of the CCPD detectives. He emphasized that the detectives\u2019 enhanced response and decisive actions led to rapid searches and arrests, resulting in the recovery of nearly all evidence related to the case.<\/p>\n

As with any case, all suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.<\/p>\n
