The Cubs seem OK letting both Kyle Tucker and Imanaga leave in free agency.

They’ll probably be in on potential replacement options, but if they don’t want to pay those guys, will they want to pay others? There could be a path toward bargain shopping here for the Cubs rather than making a splash.

Imanaga, for his part, could still be a big contributor somewhere. His stuff still plays, even if he’s a tad inconsistent. There’s plenty of value in a lefty starting pitcher in free agency, so Imanaga should do just fine for himself.

More MLB news:

Cubs’ free agent Shota Imanaga gets ESPN insider update after $57.75 million contract decision originally appeared on The…

[65
479,6403,37884,10006,363,107057,99
0":"post-299588","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-mlb","8":"tag-chicago-cubs","9":"tag-free-agency","10":"tag-jeff-passan","11":"tag-kyle-tucker","12":"tag-mlb","13":"tag-shota-imanaga","14":"tag-sports
["GET
