Colts cornerback Charvarius Ward said he hasn\u2019t been happy since the tragic death <\/a>of his 1-year-old daughter, Amani Joy, last October.<\/p>\n

In a series of Instagram Story posts, Ward shared photos of his daughter to commemorate what would have been her third birthday on Monday. <\/p>\n

\u201cHappy heavenly birthday AMANI. Haven\u2019t been happy since you left us. God was wrong for this,\u201d Ward, 29, wrote.<\/p>\n

In another slide, Ward wrote in text: \u201cF\u2013k Football. F\u2013k this money. F\u2013k any type of fame. Don\u2019t care for none of it. Lost without my baby. Amani JOY Ward XOXOXO.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ward, 29, previously shared that his daughter, whom he welcomed with his fianc\u00e9e Monique Cook, had Down Syndrome.<\/p>\n

He added a few broken heart emojis on a photo of Amani sitting on his shoulders. <\/p>\n

Another image showed cupcakes and balloons with a No. 3 candle. <\/p>\n

Ward and Cook got engaged in July. <\/p>\n

The couple\u00a0announced<\/a> last September that were expecting a baby son in February 2025. <\/p>\n

Ward\u00a0shared that his daughter died in a post on Instagram last October, when he was playing for the 49ers. That post has since been deleted. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe are heartbroken that our beautiful baby girl, Amani Joy passed away on Monday morning,\u201d Ward wrote at the time. \u201cShe was the best blessing we could have asked for, and her joyous spirit made us smile from ear to ear. She taught us to have patience, trust, and a positive outlook on life. She showed us true strength and bravery. She overcame adversity at a young age and was always happy, lighting up every room with her smile.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving the privilege of being her parents and seeing the world through her eyes has changed us for the better. She will forever be daddy\u2019s best friend and mommy\u2019s little girl. We\u2019ll miss you and love you forever, Amani Joy.\u201d<\/p>\n

In January, the Pro Bowl cornerback said he suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of his daughter\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

\u201cI get PTSD a lot,\u201d Ward told reporters<\/a> in front of his locker, adding that he has \u201ca lot of trauma\u201d in California. \u201cI be throwing up, waking up in the middle of the night all the time, sweating and stuff like that. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s tough, it\u2019s tough. But, you know, we\u2019ll see how it goes. It\u2019s gonna be interesting for sure.\u201d <\/p>\n

Ward is eligible to return from injured reserve this week against the Chiefs after suffering a concussion in a freak pregame collision<\/a> with Colts tight end Drew Ogletree before the team\u2019s win over Arizona on Oct. 12.<\/p>\n
