Bournemouth recently made a transfer offer<\/a> to sign \u0110or\u0111e Petrovi\u0107, and it would appear that their offer was a good one as they have now reportedly reached an agreement with Chelsea as well.<\/p>\n

As first reported by David Ornstein<\/a>, and shortly thereafter corroborated by the BBC<\/a>, Fabrizio Romano<\/a> and Ben Jacobs<\/a>, the Blues and the Cherries have agreed on a transfer fee worth \u00a325m, although the exact structure of the deal is not yet known. <\/p>\n

Petrovi\u0107 wanted to be a starting goalkeeper for a major club, and with no assurances over his role at Chelsea, he decided to embark on a new challenge. In addition to Bournemouth, he had attracted transfer interest from the likes of Sunderland<\/a>, AS Monaco, and Aston Villa<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Petrovi\u0107 will now head for his medical, presumably<\/a> on Monday, ahead of signing a five-year contract. He will replace former Chelsea goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga, who spent last season on loan at the Vitality Stadium and has since joined Arsenal.<\/p>\n
