Last month, we published our 2025 Ideal Employer report<\/a>. Based on over 15,000 responses to our annual survey running between March and August this year, we sought to discover the most desirable employers<\/a> in financial services. The winner, as selected by our voters, was a familiar one: JPMorgan<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

When we broke down the most popular asset management<\/a> firms, we found more familiarity. The list of ideal employers in asset management was remarkably consistent with previous years, and the similarities started at the top.<\/p>\n

For the third year in a row, voters in our Ideal Employer survey considered BlackRock to be the Ideal Employer in asset management. The firm performed well on these qualitative statements:<\/p>\n

This company pays very well. (3% above the global average)This company offers interesting work. (2% above the global average)<\/p>\n

BlackRock is synonymous with asset management as an industry, and that’s in large part because of how big it is. At the end of Q2, it had $12.5tn in assets under management. It also had 21,000 employees based across 70 offices in 38 cities.<\/p>\n

BlackRock scored below average for perceptions of its flexible work policies and its integrity as an employer.<\/p>\n

Ranking behind BlackRock, Allianz came in second place. Allianz also ranked second in 2024 and 2023. Although voters liked Allianz’s commitment to flexible work and its perceived positive impact on health, it generally scored poorly across our qualitative categories \u2013 with its innovation and workforce considered particularly poor.<\/p>\n

Fidelity placed third. Like BlackRock and Allianz, it is also an asset management category stalwart, placing third in 2023 and fourth in 2024. Respondents liked Fidelity\u2019s workforce and leadership but considered it poor for innovation and prestige. Fidelity has 78,000 employees globally, with offices across 11 countries.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
