In winter season digestion is generally stronger so the body can handle slightly richer foods.\u201dA <a href=\"https:\/\/pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/articles\/PMC6473176\/\" rel=\"noopener nofollow noreferrer\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" target=\"_blank\" commonstate=\"[object Object]\" frmappuse=\"1\">2018 paper in the Journal of Obesity &amp; Metabolic Syndrome<\/a> showed that inadequate protein intake weakens T-cell function, reducing the body\u2019s ability to fight infections.<\/p>\n<p>Add healthy fats for warmth and energy<\/p>\n<p> Til and jaggery-based snacks are traditional winter staples for good reason. \u201cOne can take healthy fats like ghee, groundnuts, sesame seeds (til), walnuts and almonds. These foods give warmth, reduce stiffness in joints and keep skin healthy.
