Following Tuesday\u2019s College Football Playoff<\/a> rankings reveal show, Paul Finebaum didn\u2019t hold back with his thoughts on the latest Top 25. But he also had poignant criticism for new CFP selection committee chair Hunter Yurachek.<\/p>\n

Finebaum reacted to a clip of Yurachek \u2013 the athletics director at Arkansas<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 explaining why Oklahoma<\/a>, Notre Dame<\/a> and Alabama<\/a> ranked. The Sooners came in at No. 8, followed by the Fighting Irish at No. 9 and the Crimson Tide at No. 10.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the day, Finebaum called out the committee for putting Notre Dame ahead of Alabama. But as he listened to Yurachek\u2019s explanation again, he said he still wasn\u2019t sure what the new chairman was trying to say and instead deferred to guest Kevin Clark of Omaha Productions.<\/p>\n

\u201cUsually, I try to wait for somebody to interpret what Hunter Yurachek just attempted to say,\u201d Finebaum said Wednesday on his show. \u201cBut I\u2019ll leave that to my good friend, Kevin Clark. \u2026 I don\u2019t know what he was talking about. Do you?\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking with reporters on a teleconference after the reveal show, Yurachek pointed to the losses Notre Dame and Alabama suffered. He said the Fighting Irish fell to Texas A&M<\/a> and Miami<\/a> \u2013 both of which are ranked \u2013 while the Crimson Tide fell to 5-5 Florida State<\/a>, in addition to Oklahoma last week. That FSU loss, he said, was a difference-maker in the discussion.<\/p>\n

Paul Finebaum: Hunter Yurachek ran Arkansas program \u2018into the ground\u2019<\/p>\n

After discussing the committee and questioning consistency in the rankings, Paul Finebaum called out the College Football Playoff for a lack of transparency. It went beyond the rankings, though. He\u2019s looking for answers as to why Baylor<\/a> athletics director Mack Rhoades stepped down following last week\u2019s reveal show, which opened the door for Yurachek to become the chairman.<\/p>\n

In the process, Finebaum also pointed to the state of the Arkansas football program amid its coaching search. That\u2019s also on Yurachek\u2019s plate as he details the CFP rankings each week on ESPN.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re not transparent about anything,\u201d Finebaum said of the committee. \u201cThey have yet to explain why the chairman of the committee got ejected after last week\u2019s appearance. \u2026 Aren\u2019t we entitled to know how these people get there?
