This fall, the documentarians who gave us the exploits of Scranton\u2019s Dunder Mifflin Paper Company are back with a look at another workplace.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Paper<\/a>,\u201d the sequel to Emmy-winning series \u201cThe Office<\/a>,\u201d unfolds at The Truth Teller<\/a>, a struggling newspaper<\/a> in Toledo, Ohio.<\/p>\n And now we have a premiere date for the show \u2014 Thursday, Sept. 4. <\/p>\n Four episodes will be streaming that day on Peacock<\/a>.<\/p>\n Greg Daniels<\/a>, who developed the British show \u201cThe Office\u201d for American TV, is a creator, writer and executive producer of \u201cThe Paper\u201d alongside Michael Koman<\/a> (\u201cNathan For You\u201d). Stephen Merchant and Ricky Gervais, the original creators of \u201cThe Office,\u201d are also executive producers. <\/p>\n As we previously reported, the show features a returning face from \u201cThe Office<\/a>.\u201d <\/p>\n New Jersey actor Oscar Nu\u00f1ez<\/a>, who hails from Union City, is back as Oscar Martinez<\/a> in \u201cThe Paper.\u201d He was in the main cast of \u201cThe Office\u201d from 2005 to 2013, for all nine seasons of the show. <\/p>\n Martinez, previously an accountant at Dunder Mifflin, had become a state senator in Pennsylvania by the end of the series. We\u2019ll have to see what he\u2019s up to in Ohio.<\/p>\n He joins a cast that includes Domhnall Gleeson<\/a> (\u201cEcho Valley<\/a>\u201d), Sabrina Impacciatore<\/a> (\u201cThe White Lotus\u201d), Chelsea Frei<\/a> (\u201cPoker Face\u201d), Emmy winner Alex Edelman<\/a> (\u201cJust for Us\u201d), Gbemisola Ikumelo<\/a> (\u201cA League of Their Own\u201d), Melvin Gregg<\/a> (\u201cSnowfall\u201d), Ramona Young<\/a> (\u201cSanta Clarita Diet\u201d) and Tim Key<\/a> (\u201cThe Witchfinder\u201d).<\/p>\n Gleeson plays Ned Sampson, the publisher of The Truth Teller, who tries to save the newspaper as ad revenue plummets.<\/p>\n \u201cThe villain here is the internet<\/a> and the ability to look at everybody\u2019s news for free, and all the ad revenue going to Google<\/a>,\u201d Daniels previously told The Hollywood Reporter, explaining why the Midwestern newspaper is in such dire straits for anyone unfamiliar with the woes afflicting print media (and media in general). <\/p>\n Guest stars on \u201cThe Paper\u201d include Pulitzer Prize and Tony-winning playwright Tracy Letts<\/a> (\u201cHomeland\u201d), Molly Ephraim<\/a> (\u201cPerry Mason\u201d), Nate Jackson<\/a> (\u201cCurb Your Enthusiasm\u201d), Duane Shepard Sr.<\/a> (\u201cThe Eric Andre Show\u201d), Nancy Lenehan<\/a> (\u201cThe Boys\u201d), Mo Welch<\/a> (\u201cCorporate\u201d), Eric Rahill <\/a>(\u201cFriendship\u201d) and Allan Havey<\/a> (\u201cBillions\u201d)<\/p>\n Two new episodes of \u201cThe Paper\u201d will be released each Thursday through Sept. 25.<\/p>\n Thank you for reading.
