{"id":303609,"date":"2025-11-20T17:40:11","date_gmt":"2025-11-20T17:40:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/303609\/"},"modified":"2025-11-20T17:40:11","modified_gmt":"2025-11-20T17:40:11","slug":"field-of-dreams-unveils-2026-concert-headliners-mlb-game","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/303609\/","title":{"rendered":"Field of Dreams unveils 2026 concert headliners, MLB game"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">DYERSVILLE, Iowa (KCRG) &#8211; The Field of Dreams will host another MLB game next year, one of the events the movie site\u2019s owners previewed in Thursday\u2019s press conference. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The movie site in Dyersville also announced three concerts headlining over Labor Day weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Shinedown on Friday, September 4Carrie Underwood on Saturday, September 5CREED on Sunday, September 6<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usca.live\/velocity-2026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.usca.live\/velocity-2026\">velocityfest.live<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>MLB Game<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Major League Baseball will return to the site for the third time on August 13, 2026 for a game between the Philadelphia Phillies and Minnesota Twins, the league <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kcrg.com\/2025\/11\/19\/field-dreams-game-announced-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.kcrg.com\/2025\/11\/19\/field-dreams-game-announced-2026\/\">announced Wednesday<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The first game featured the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees in 2021, and the Chicago Cubs played the Cincinnati Reds in 2022.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kcrg.com\/2022\/08\/10\/2023-will-not-have-field-dreams-game-due-construction\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.kcrg.com\/2022\/08\/10\/2023-will-not-have-field-dreams-game-due-construction\/\">The series has been on hold<\/a> as the grounds underwent renovation, including adding a new youth baseball and softball complex and a renovated stadium to host games.<\/p>\n<p>Northwoods League All-Star Game<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Field of Dreams will host a two-day event for the Northwoods League, with the Northwoods League Home Run Challenge on July 7 and the All-Star Game on July 8.<\/p>\n<p>More youth sports<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The site is building a youth sports complex with four parks in summer 2026. The complex eventually plans to expand up to 10 fields.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The site says it hosted 575 youth baseball teams this year, a record number for the site. It says 204 teams have already signed up for 2026.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Youth softball registration will open in early January.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Bring it Home\u2019 campaign<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Field of Dreams launched a $120 million capital campaign to fund preservation of the original movie site, the ballpark, the youth sports complex and leadership programming. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">They hope to raise $40 million more to reach their goal. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">In fundraising efforts, there will be an upcoming invitation for anyone to buy and own a \u201cstalk\u201d from the Field of Dreams.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">More information is available at <a href=\"https:\/\/bringithomeiowa.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/bringithomeiowa.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">bringithomeiowa.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2025 KCRG.
