The best iPhones<\/a> are some of the most expensive phones money can buy, but Black Friday<\/a> is a great time to pick up an Apple<\/a> device at a cut price (particularly in the UK, where shoppers can enjoy a nice mix of contract and SIM-only deals).<\/p>\n

As someone who reviews iPhones all year round, I can tell you that deals on newer models like the iPhone 17 Pro Max<\/a> are hard to come by (though Sky’s Black Friday data promo<\/a> makes them much more affordable). You can, however, currently pick up an iPhone 16<\/a> model or an iPhone 15 Pro Max<\/a> for a great price right now (see Argos’ \u00a3892 deal price on the latter<\/a>, for instance).<\/p>\n

Luckily, Apple now offers 256GB of storage as standard with all iPhone 17 models, but if you’re shopping deals on previous-generation models, I’d recommend that you pay a little more for 256GB of storage instead of 128GB<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Why? Because apps and photos are now larger than ever before, and they’re only set to get bigger. Specifically, as phone cameras have become more advanced, photos captured with them have got larger in size, and apps too have ballooned in size thanks to new features, higher-quality graphics, and more regular updates.<\/p>\n

If you’re not someone who plans to take loads of photos and download loads of storage-hungry apps, then 128GB of storage may be an acceptable capacity for you. But for 90% of users, it’s better to be safe than sorry.<\/p>\n
