\n\tTwo-time Oscar winner Kevin Spacey<\/a> said he \u201cliterally\u201d has no \u201chome,\u201d and is living out of his suitcase in various hotels and Airbnbs while working as a lounge singer in Cyprus. The embattled actor, whose work in Hollywood has dried up following numerous allegations of sexual misconduct and assault that first surfaced in 2017, also noted his belief that powerful filmmakers\u2019 public support for him will bring him back into the public\u2019s good graces.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn an interview published by The Telegraph U.K.<\/a>, Spacey classified his financial situation as \u201cnot great,\u201d adding, \u201cI\u2019m living in hotels, I\u2019m living in Airbnbs, I\u2019m going where the work is. I literally have no home, that\u2019s what I\u2019m attempting to explain.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe House of Cards alum, who last year appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored to discuss his debts, including the foreclosure of his Baltimore abode<\/a>, said, \u201cThe costs over these last seven years have been astronomical. I\u2019ve had very little coming in and everything going out.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSpacey likened his predicament to the experiences of actors of yore, who were swept into the Hollywood blacklist as a result of McCarthyism. He cited Kirk Douglas\u2019 willingness to work with screenwriter Dalton Trumbo, then blacklisted, as the type of strategic allyship that could help him right the ship.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSo, my feeling is if Martin Scorsese or Quentin Tarantino call Evan [Lowenstein, Spacey\u2019s manager] tomorrow, it will be over,\u201d he posited. \u201cI will be incredibly honored and delighted when that level of talent picks up the phone. And I believe it\u2019s going to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMost recently, Spacey wrapped production in the U.K.<\/a> on an under-the-radar sci-fi thriller called The Tenth Planet. Having appeared on the festival circuit in both Venice and Cannes, where he was honored<\/a> and made similar comments invoking Trumbo\u2019s name<\/a>, earlier this year, Spacey has been vocal about eyeing a comeback<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\n\tSpacey was acquitted of the sexual assault of four men in the U.K. two years ago, and was found not liable in a U.S. civil case brought by actor Anthony Rapp, who alleged Spacey molested him when he was 14. A spate of men alleged similar abuse by the actor during his time working in the U.K. theater scene and on\u00a0House Of Cards. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe American Beauty star is now facing a U.K. suit from an anonymous complainant, who alleged sexual assault<\/a>; news of that civil case, which will go to trial this year, came shortly after the airing of a 2024 documentary about Spacey on Channel 4 and Investigation Discovery, which unearthed more allegations of wrongdoing, including from actor Ruari Cannon. After Guy Pearce noted earlier this year he was \u201cmade to feel uncomfortable\u201d by Spacey on the set of 1997\u2019s L.A. Confidential, the latter responded by telling the Oscar-nominated actor of The Brutalist to \u201cgrow up.\u201d<\/a> <\/p>\n

\n\tSpacey has\u00a0said in the past<\/a>\u00a0that he may have behaved inappropriately during his career, but denies that he behaved illegally.
