It’s worth noting that the younger Kiffin has worn the LSU headphones in the past, as he was seen sporting them in an Instagram post<\/a> on Oct. 25.<\/p>\n As for Lane, he’s been rumored<\/a> to be under consideration to replace Billy Napier at Florida as well as Brian Kelly at LSU.<\/p>\n The Tigers parted ways<\/a> with Kelly on Oct. 26 after they opened the 2025 season with a 5-3 record, including a 2-3 mark in the SEC. <\/p>\n Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter revealed<\/a> Friday that an announcement will be made regarding Kiffin’s future at the school after the Rebels face Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl on Nov. 28.<\/p>\n ESPN’s Mark Schlabach<\/a> reported that the Rebels had offered Kiffin a “lengthy extension with a salary comparable to those the Tigers and Gators are offering him.”<\/p>\n Kiffin has compiled a 54-19 record across his six years patrolling the sidelines at Ole Miss. He’s helped the Rebels reach a 10-1 mark during their 2025 campaign, sitting at No. 6 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings<\/a>. <\/p>\n The strong start to the season for Ole Miss has been fueled by an offense averaging 37.2 points per game, the third-best<\/a> mark in the SEC. <\/p>\n
