Next on General HospitalLaura and Sonny

In Thursday’s episode, it was Laura (Genie Francis, the second part of her State of Mind interview is out soon) who made a shocking discovery: Professor Dalton’s body in the trunk of her car. And now she has to deal with the fallout. Sidwell (Carlo Rota) murdered the irritant who had quickly become a liability to everything he had been working towards.

And now that Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) is around, he no longer needs Dalton (Daniel Goddard, who is out at GH). So Sidwell shot him dead, easy peasy. On Monday, Sonny (Maurice Benard) is the one who makes a grim discovery. He already looked at who was in the trunk of Laura’s car on Friday. So what does he come across on Monday? The show seems to be throwing Laura and Sonny together more, so maybe the two will navigate whatever this is as a team.

While Sonny deals with this gruesome development, Laura receives a warning. This dead body in her trunk may be a way Sidwell can make Laura’s election win work to his advantage. If Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) can’t be his puppet, then he could make do with Mayor Laura Collins, who will hopefully show him what she is made of. She has dealt with Cassadines. She can deal with Sidwell, too (fingers crossed).

A Strange Encounter

Elsewhere, Carly (Laura Wright) encounters Josslyn. It’s strange for the spoilers to word a mother and daughter as encountering each other, so what will be special about this run-in? Maybe Joss will be in WSB mode, and Joss (Eden McCoy) will have some explaining to do.

Updates and Promises

Meanwhile, Lucas (Van Hansis, who broke down Lucas’ big move) briefs Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). His life is somewhat chaotic at the moment. His move into Wyndemere, where his boyfriend and his boyfriend’s crime lord father reside, has shifted his loyalties somewhat. He set boundaries with his sister Carly, who is (understandably) wary of this development. He would rather spend time with Ava (Maura West), his supportive aunt. His updating Elizabeth might revolve around this topic.

Finally, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) makes a promise. This could be a promise of a more personal nature than a professional one. As in, he promises he will get over himself and go have a fair and rational conversation with his biological son he recently discovered. What will Dante promise?
