The big issue with the cancellation of the AGM is that Celtic fans still have more questions than answers regarding the managerial situation. <\/p>\n

At the start of the week, amid all the noise around Wilfried Nancy, Celtic<\/a> announced that Martin O\u2019Neill will be in charge for the St Mirren match on Saturday evening. <\/p>\n

From some quarters of the media, Nancy will become Celtic\u2019s next manager<\/a>, but from other sections, contact hasn\u2019t even been made with Columbus Crew. <\/p>\n

All in all, Celtic\u2019s managerial hunt has left James McFadden<\/a> baffled. <\/p>\n

I was told that there was a report that said we gave permission to Celtic but in order to get permission, you have to ask. We haven\u2019t had anything from that particular club.<\/p>\n

Following Celtic\u2019s statement this week that O\u2019Neill will remain in charge<\/a>, McFadden admitted that he finds it \u2018strange\u2019 the new manager isn\u2019t being announced, if they have indeed got who they want. <\/p>\n

The former Scotland international stated that what he\u2019s hearing from Celtic is odd, but \u2018not surprising\u2019 as the search for Brendan Rodgers\u2019 successor<\/a> goes on. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere was talk when the shortlist was made up that it was going to maybe be a December appointment,\u201d said McFadden. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt is weird. It happens at the start. All the betting goes on, and everybody talks about it. Not really heard much about it. <\/p>\n

\u201cDid they (Celtic) even announce they (O\u2019Neill and Maloney) were staying on? (when Celtic released their statement before the St Mirren game). <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not really surprising, but it is strange if you have got who you want. If you know who you want, even to announce, \u2018this is who it is. This is why they are still in charge.\u2019 It is a wee bit strange. <\/p>\n

\u201cEven the preparation. I know they will still be training them. But when do Martin O\u2019Neill and Shaun Maloney know? When do they find out? It\u2019s a strange situation. But I am not really that surprised.\u201d<\/p>\n

McFadden feels Celtic need to inform fans of current plans<\/p>\n

This is a very busy period for Celtic, with no midweek break from now until the end of December. <\/p>\n

What makes matters worse is Celtic\u2019s injury situation<\/a>, as McFadden feels there needs to be more clarity, especially with the January transfer window around the corner. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not a rush to get them in,\u201d stated McFadden. \u201cBut if you have identified who it is. You are speaking to them. Then the announcement needs to come. <\/p>\n

\u201cIf you need to wait until January for that manager to start. Then say, \u2018he starts on January. This is the interim team.
