The focus during Black Friday shopping is mostly on new stuff \u2013 but some old, refurbished gadgets deserve some love too. Here are some refurbished iPhones (some of them in good enough condition for the renewed premium<\/a> label).<\/p>\n

The iPhone 15 Pro is a couple of generations old, but it still offers modern features like an LTPO display, USB-C charging, satellite connectivity and UWB. It\u2019s before the switch to high resolution telephoto and ultra-wide cameras, though, both modules are 12MP. On the plus side, the 48MP main has a large 1\/1.28\u201d sensor.<\/p>\n

You can also grab the larger iPhone 15 Pro Max \u2013 besides the larger screen (6.7\u201d vs. 6.1\u201d) and larger battery (16:01h vs. 12:58h Active use score), the Max also has a longer telephoto lens (5x\/120mm vs. 3x\/77mm). You can have a 6.7\u201d screen for less with the iPhone 15 Plus \u2013 note that this is a 60Hz LTPS display, however. Still, it has a punch hole instead of a notch like older models do. Here\u2019s how the Plus stacks up against the Pro Max<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The iPhone 16e is only a few months old, but refurbished units are already showing up. This one has an Apple A18 chipset, which is newer than the A17 Pro inside the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. The single 48MP camera on the back (with a tiny 1\/2.55\u201d sensor) isn\u2019t great, though. Still, the 16e is relatively small (6.1\u201d display, 167g), which makes it a solid option for a second phone.<\/p>\n

Moving on, the iPhone 14 Plus also offers a 6.7\u201d OLED display \u2013 with a notch, however. Another downside compared to the 15 Plus is the 12MP main camera (vs. 48MP on the newer model). The Lightning port may be the most limiting, however, since the world is moving towards USB-C for everything.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also a vanilla iPhone 14, if you prefer smaller phones. But you could also get the iPhone 13 \u2013 it has the same notched screen and the same Apple A15 chipset. Both phones support iOS 26<\/a>.<\/p>\n
