At Camp Flog Gnaw, Donald Glover<\/a> explained why he didn\u2019t finish hist tour<\/a> last year: he suffered a stroke. Calling it his \u201cWhere Have I Been Monologue,\u201d Glover explained that he first started experiencing symptoms before his New Orleans show in September 2024. \u201cI had a really bad pain in my head in Louisiana, and I did the show anyway,\u201d he said. \u201cI couldn\u2019t really see well. So when we went to Houston, I went to the hospital. And the doctor was like, \u2018You had a stroke.\u2019\u201d Glover joked that his first thought upon hearing that was \u201cOh, here I am\u00a0still\u00a0copying Jamie Foxx<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n Last year, Glover announced a final tour as Childish Gambino. He canceled half of the dates mid-tour, citing \u201can ailment that had become apparent\u201d on tour. \u201cMy path to recovery is something I need to confront seriously,\u201d\u00a0Glover wrote at the time. We now know that ailment was a stroke, the treatment for which revealed a hole in Glover\u2019s heart as the underlying condition. \u201cSo I had this surgery, and then I had to have another surgery,\u201d he said at Camp Flog Gnaw.<\/p>\n Glover said the health scare made him realize how lucky he is and how precious life is. \u201cThey say everybody has two lives, and the second life starts when you realize you have one,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd I gotta be honest: the life I\u2019ve with you guys has been such a blessing.\u201d Although it also sort of seems he\u2019s open to reincarnation. \u201cAs my wife says \u2014 which I love \u2014 she\u2019s like \u2018If this life is a flavor?
