Nicole Kidman<\/a> is not following a script when it comes to her real life. <\/p>\n

After the Babygirl star filed for divorce from Keith Urban, she told Ariana Grande in a conversation for <\/a>Interview<\/a>, which took place Oct. 19, that she was \u201changing in there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the interview, which was published Nov. 24, Nicole\u2014who shares daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14 with Keith\u2014 shared that she was surrounded by a great support system this summer as she filmed Practical Magic 2 amid the initial months of her separation. (On Sept. 29, E! News had confirmed<\/a> that she and the \u201cSomebody Like You\u201d singer had been living apart \u201csince the beginning of summer.\u201d)<\/p>\n

\u201cI felt protected and loved,\u201d Nicole added of being on set with costars Sandra Bullock, Joey King and Maisie Williams. \u201cIt was just very, very safe.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since her separation from her husband of over 19 years, Nicole has kept a low profile, save for a few public appearances including attending a Chanel fashion show<\/a> alongside her daughters during Paris Fashion Week Oct. 7.<\/p>\n

Amid the former couple\u2019s separation, E! News learned that The Killing of the Sacred Deer star initially attempted to salvage her marriage, before ultimately filing for divorce. <\/p>\n

The 58-year-old has also had full custody of the former couple\u2019s teenagers since their separation, as they resided in their Nashville residence while Keith, also 58, maintained a separate living situation in the same city. In Nicole\u2019s Sept. 30 divorce filing, she and Keith mutually signed off on a proposed custody agreement that has their daughters staying with Nicole for 306 days of the year as the “primary residential parent,” while they will spend 59 days with their dad.<\/p>\n

For Keith\u2019s part, he had stirred up dating rumors with guitarist Maggie Braugh after changing the lyrics to his song \u201cThe Fighter,\u201d<\/a> to give her a shoutout in September.<\/p>\n

However, Maggie\u2019s friend Alexandra Kay subsequently <\/a>confirmed<\/a> in an appearance on Taste of Country Nights Oct. 23 that a budding romance between Keith and her pal was \u201cabsolutely not true.\u201d<\/p>\n

Keith also slammed his audience\u2019s speculation when it came to his song choices, telling a crowd during an Oct. 17 concert, “Stop reading s–t into it.”<\/p>\n

E! News learned that the Practical Magic star had submitted application to become a resident of Portugal, with Urban preparing to do the same himself. <\/p>\n

\u201cKeith was unable to be in Portugal for this appointment as he is currently on tour in the U.S.,” a source with knowledge of the situation told E!, “and it is mandatory for applicants to be physically present in order to apply for the visa. He is scheduled to submit his application at a later date that works with his tour schedule.”<\/p>\n

At the time, the source said both planned to maintain a permanent residence in Nashville as well.<\/p>\n

Neither will pay child support, according to the doc obtained by E! News.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe mother and father will behave with each other and each child so as to provide a loving, stable, consistent and nurturing relationship with the child even though they are divorced,\u201d it stated. \u201cThey will not speak badly of each other or the members of the family of the other parent. They will encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aug. 29, 2025: Keith Urban Signs Paperwork<\/p>\n

Urban moved forward with their Marital Dissolution Agreement, getting it notorized in August, per the doc obtained by E! News.<\/p>\n

The document said that Kidman would “institute divorce proceedings against” him due to irreconcilable differences. It also stated that neither party would be getting alimony or spousal support in their split.<\/p>\n

The same date, he also signed off on the Parenting Plan.<\/p>\n

Sept. 6, 2025: Nicole Kidman Signs Paperwork<\/p>\n

A week after Urban, the actress had the Marital Dissolution Agreement notorized as well and signed the Parenting Plan.<\/p>\n

The same day, a judge signed off on an order that both stars would complete a manditory parenting seminar unless they file for an exemption, per the doc obtained by E! News.<\/p>\n
