Apple\u2019s Wallet app got a strong lineup of new features<\/a> in iOS 26, including one hidden addition you might have missed: a highly requested new setting to disable promotional notifications.<\/p>\n

Apple\u2019s Wallet app is the iPhone\u2019s home for credit cards, car keys, airline boarding passes, and more.<\/p>\n

Typically when you get a notification from Wallet, it provides important financial records, flight changes, or something else similarly important.<\/p>\n

But earlier this year, as part of its F1 The Movie marketing blitz, Apple sent out a Wallet notification<\/a> with a movie ticket offer.<\/p>\n

The movie became a hit, but this marketing tactic was not so well received by users.<\/p>\n

Upon receiving the F1 notification, many users dug into Wallet\u2019s settings to find a way to disable any such future promotional alerts.<\/p>\n

Except at the time, iOS 18 offered no such option.<\/p>\n

In iOS 26, however, the highly requested setting has arrived.<\/p>\n

Open the Wallet app in iOS 26, then tap the three-dot icon in the top-right and find the \u2018Notifications\u2019 menu option.<\/p>\n

From here, you\u2019ll see toggles for the following types of notifications:<\/p>\n

Transactions<\/p>\n

Savings<\/p>\n

Orders<\/p>\n

Preauthorized Payments<\/p>\n

New Features & Updates<\/p>\n

Offers & Promotions<\/p>\n

That last setting, Offers & Promotions, is new to iOS 26 and should stop any future unwanted notifications involving the inevitable F1 movie sequel.<\/p>\n

On a related note, Apple TV (currently just $5.99\/month<\/a>) will be adding F1 The Movie as part of its December lineup<\/a>. So if you\u2019re tired of F1 notifications, now\u2019s your chance to disable alerts for the Apple TV app too.<\/p>\n
