Jimmy Kimmel weighed in on Marjorie Taylor Greene\u2019s resignation from Congress by applauding the Georgia representative\u2019s decision and inviting her to make herself \u201cat home\u201d in \u201creality.\u201d<\/p>\n

During Monday\u2019s episode of \u201cJimmy Kimmel Live!,\u201d the comedian commented on Greene\u2019s big news, which she dropped on social media Friday evening. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s going to be one less puddle of sweat on the floor mat of the congressional gym,\u201d Kimmel quipped, \u201cbecause Marjorie Taylor Greene, yet another Trump superfan, learns that loyalty to him goes only one way.\u201d<\/p>\n

After playing a snippet from her resignation video, in which a Christmas tree sits behind her, Kimmel joked: \u201cI have to say this woman is being attacked from all sides right now \u2014 somehow she still had time to put up her Christmas tree, [it\u2019s] not even Thanksgiving.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cShe says Congress is beholden to the super wealthy and ignores the needs of ordinary Americans. She says her party has no plan for healthcare and that the Jeffrey Epstein files are not a hoax as the president claims they are. To which I say, \u2018Welcome to reality Marj. We\u2019re glad to have you here. Make yourself at home. Feel free to check out our science wing while you have a chance.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Before moving on Kimmel, joked that \u201cCongress\u2019s loss is Love Island\u2019s gain,\u201d suggesting the politician is set to appear on the popular dating show.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Kimmel\u2019s commentary comes days after Greene shared her plans to resign in January. In her speech, Greene took a shot at Trump, who had previously rescinded his endorsement of her.<\/p>\n

Not only did she note that \u201cloyalty should be a two-way street,\u201d she also said her Republican peers \u201cshould be able to vote our conscience and represent our district\u2019s interest because our job is literally: \u2018Representative.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Trump responded to her decision by calling her \u201cMarjorie \u2018Traitor\u2019 Brown\u201d on Truth Social. However, he did add, \u201cI will always appreciate Marjorie, and thank her for her service to our Country.\u201d<\/p>\n
