During the Warriors\u2019 game on Monday, Curry stepped on the court in Sabrina Ionescu\u2019s kicks \u2014 making it the first time he has played in Nike shoes since 2013. Curry\u2019s gesture went viral during the game, with fans cheering for the Warriors star for supporting Ionescu.<\/p>\n After the game, Curry spoke to the media about wearing a Nike shoe on the court. Interestingly, Curry revealed that he has some history with the New York Liberty star. Apparently, the Curry brand attempted to sign Ionescu, but ultimately lost her to Nike.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have a long history\u2026she\u2019s from the Bay. I was following her career. There was a time when she was coming out of school, I was trying to get her to Curry Brand. It\u2019s hard to get an Oregon Duck to leave Nike,\u201d Curry told the media<\/a>.
