The France international started for the Blues at right-back and helped us establish a 1-0 lead against the La Liga champions; an own goal from Jules Kounde, coupled with a red card shown to Ronald Araujo, ensured we went into the interval ahead. <\/p>\n
Gusto was replaced at the break by Andrey Santos<\/a>, with skipper Reece James<\/a> moving into right-back. The Blues took full advantage of their extra man in the second half and a stunning individual goal from Estevao Willian<\/a> and a strike from Liam Delap<\/a> secured an impressive victory. <\/p>\n A deal for Gusto to join the Blues was agreed in January 2023, although he spent the remainder of that campaign back on loan at Lyon. <\/p>\n His Chelsea debut came on the opening weekend of the following campaign; Gusto made a cameo appearance off the substitutes’ bench in a 1-1 draw with Liverpool. He soon established himself as a regular in the side, making 37 appearances in all competitions during his maiden season. <\/p>\n
