Our most recent data deep dive\u00a0looked into over 7,100 \u00a0job postings across Europe<\/a>\u00a0to help job seekers understand where demand remains.<\/p>\n Our analysis found that Europe has not been exempt from the painful effects on recruitment, with 28% fewer roles available compared to 2024. For those seeking a silver lining, several United Nations<\/a>\u00a0agencies in the region have demonstrated resilience, despite our recent analysis showing a significant drop<\/a>\u00a0in U.N. jobs advertised overall. <\/p>\n The most active organizations hiring in Europe\u00a0include the World Food Programme<\/a>, headquartered in Italy, and the\u00a0International Organization for Migration<\/a>, whose home base is in Switzerland. IOM was one of the few U<\/a>.N. entities to have actually posted more jobs<\/a>\u00a0overall this year than last. High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi<\/p>\n Assessing the Trump effect on U.N. agencies<\/a>, our latest Devex Career Account downloadable report reveals a dramatic shift: Since the freeze was announced, the number of\u00a0U.N. jobs posted on Devex has dropped by 43.3%\u00a0compared to the same period in 2024.<\/p>\n For some of the most prominent agencies, the situation is even more stark. The\u00a0UN Refugee Agency<\/a>\u00a0has seen an 83.4% decline\u00a0in postings, and the World Health Organization<\/a>, which enacted a hiring freeze after the U.S. announced its withdrawal from the agency, has cut its job ads by 81.1%.<\/p>\n This isn\u2019t just a drop in job volume; it\u2019s a shift in structure.
