The Scout is tipping four players for big success in Gameweek 13 of 2025\/26 Fantasy Premier League<\/a> ahead of Saturday’s 13:30 GMT deadline, to help managers gain an edge over their mini-league rivals.<\/p>\n

Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa) \u00a36.9m<\/p>\n

Rogers registered his best ever FPL points score with a brace at Leeds<\/a> in Gameweek 12. Rogers’ two goals took his tally to five attacking returns in his last seven appearances. <\/p>\n

The 23-year-old\u2019s stats back up his status as arguably Villa<\/a>\u2019s most consistent attacking player. Rogers’ tallies of eight shots on target and three big chances created are both team-leading totals, while his 11 chances created put him a close second to captain John McGinn (\u00a35.4m).<\/p>\n

Rogers has started every Premier League match so far this season, playing more minutes than any of his team-mates. Assured game-time and positional versatility – as a winger, attacking midfielder or even a second striker – are useful qualities, particularly as the fixture schedule becomes increasingly congested over the winter months.<\/p>\n

Also, Villa are one of the best teams at home this season, and this weekend they face a Wolves<\/a> side who are winless in 12 league games this season, conceding 27 goals in the process and keeping zero clean sheets.<\/p>\n

Indeed, Villa\u2019s fixtures are pretty good long term. As shown below, their home and away matches against Arsenal are the only two during the next 10 Gameweeks that score higher than a three in the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR)<\/a>, where the difficulty of each fixture is ranked from one to five – with one being the easiest possible match and five being the hardest.<\/p>\n

Jeremy Doku (Man City) \u00a36.5m<\/p>\n

He may have blanked in Gameweek 12\u2019s loss at Newcastle United<\/a>, but on several occasions Doku came close to registering what would have been his fifth assist of the season in FPL.<\/p>\n

Lauded for his goalscoring, Player-of-the-Match performance against Liverpool<\/a> before the recent international break, the Belgian winger has had more shots on target (seven) and big chances (three) this season than any other Manchester City<\/a> player besides Erling Haaland (\u00a314.9m).<\/p>\n

Even more notably, Doku sits second in the league’s chance-creation table, having crafted 27 chances for his team-mates, and a league-high six of those have been “big chances” – situations where the player is expected to score. Out of the players who have featured in every game this season, he has the best rate for minutes per chance created (26). <\/p>\n

The 23-year-old is also his team\u2019s top performer for touches in the final third of the pitch and sits fourth among all Premier League players for touches in the opposition\u2019s penalty area (71), despite having played over 300 minutes fewer than those ranked above him.<\/p>\n

Rotation and reduced minutes are always a worry given the plethora of attacking options at Pep Guardiola\u2019s disposal, but Doku has started in 12 of his last 14 appearances for City across all competitions and been withdrawn before 60 minutes on just one occasion, so his growing importance to the side is becoming increasingly apparent.<\/p>\n

Kevin Schade (Brentford) \u00a37.0m<\/p>\n

Another mid-priced midfielder enjoying a solid start to the 2025\/26 campaign is Schade.<\/p>\n

While in-form forward Igor Thiago (\u00a36.5m) has carried the bulk of the goalscoring burden so far for Keith Andrews\u2019s side, Schade has certainly chipped in.<\/p>\n

A starter when fit, Schade has registered five attacking returns (three goals, two assists), with four of those coming in the last seven Gameweeks.<\/p>\n

Schade would have had another FPL assist to his name, too, had Thiago buried the stoppage-time penalty at Brighton in Gameweek 12.<\/p>\n

Schade actually beats Thiago for penalty-box touches (50) this season, and he has taken all 19 of his shots from inside the area – second only to Thiago among Brentford<\/a> players. <\/p>\n

Schade has scored two of his four big chances to date and has created 13 chances for team-mates this season, three of them big chances.<\/p>\n

Up next is Burnley<\/a>, who have just one away win and have conceded a league-high 18 goals. Meanwhile, Brentford have won four of their six home games this season, beating the likes of Newcastle, Liverpool and Manchester United<\/a> already at the Gtech Community Stadium.<\/p>\n

This fixture has the potential to be Schade’s first double-digit FPL points haul of the campaign.<\/p>\n

Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool) \u00a36.0m<\/p>\n

The unexpected struggles of reigning Premier League champions Liverpool has been well documented.<\/p>\n

Having lost six of their last seven league outings, the Reds have sunk to 12th in the table.<\/p>\n

However, Van Dijk sits second for total defensive contributions among FPL defenders, and has hit the threshold for the extra two defensive contribution points<\/a> on seven occasions to date.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s every chance he continues to tick over in that regard, while Liverpool\u2019s upcoming run of fixtures – the best in the league into the new year, according to FDR scores – surely presents some opportunities to add to their three Premier League clean sheets.<\/p>\n

At the other end, Van Dijk has scored twice in four UEFA Champions League appearances this season but has yet to find the net with any of his five attempts in the league, despite two of them being big chances.<\/p>\n

The 6ft 4in centre-back is always a threat in the air and a target for set-piece deliveries.
