Since then, the brand has added a lot of features to it, making it much more useful. Well, Google is now upgrading Circle to Search once again, and these upgrades make it easier for you to enquire about a piece of text or an image, and provide you with AI-powered answers, which are easier to understand, to follow up queries.

When you summon Circle to Search and select an image, it searches the picture on Google Search and provides you with the results it offers. The pop-up showing the search results also offers a search bar at the top containing the image it searched for, as well as an option to ask a query about that image. If you tap on it and ask a question about the image, the feature runs the regular Google Search again. Well, not anymore.

Now, the pop-up showing the search results offers a search bar at the bottom that says “Ask Anything” (via Android Authority). It lets you ask queries about the image, just like before. However, when you ask it anything, instead of running a regular Google Search to answer your question, it pulls up Google’s AI Mode to answer your query in a better way. Google has given searches involving pieces of text a similar treatment.

Circle to Search now handles text queries in a better way

Previously, when you summoned Circle to Search and selected a piece of text, the feature searched it on Google Search and provided you with the results it offers. The pop-up showing the search results offered a search bar at the top, containing the piece of text it searched for. You could tap on it and modify the text, and when you hit enter, it would run the regular Google Search for that term. Well, not anymore.

Now, the pop-up showing the search results offers a search bar at the bottom saying “Ask Anything.” It lets you ask questions about the piece of text you enquired about. Plus, it pulls up the AI Mode to answer the query. These changes make it easier to enquire about something and provide you with answers that are easier to understand. Google is offering these upgrades with an update to the Google app (version 16.47.49).

Google’s Circle to Search for Android made its debut on Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series.
