{"id":31753,"date":"2025-07-23T17:51:07","date_gmt":"2025-07-23T17:51:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/31753\/"},"modified":"2025-07-23T17:51:07","modified_gmt":"2025-07-23T17:51:07","slug":"san-antonio-spurs-sign-lindy-waters-iii-to-one-year-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/31753\/","title":{"rendered":"San Antonio Spurs sign Lindy Waters III to one-year deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">SAN ANTONIO \u2013 The San Antonio Spurs added additional backcourt depth on Wednesday with the signing of free agent guard Lindy Waters III. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ShamsCharania\/status\/1948004377454674335\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" title=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ShamsCharania\/status\/1948004377454674335\">ESPN\u2019s Shams Charania said on X<\/a>, formerly Twitter, that Waters agreed to a one-year deal with San Antonio. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Waters, who spent time with the Golden State Warriors and the Detroit Pistons last season, provides the Spurs with a perimeter threat. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">The 27-year-old from Oklahoma State University has shot 36.6% from three-point range throughout his NBA career thus far, according to ESPN statistics. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Coming out of college undrafted, Waters spent several months with the Oklahoma-based Enid Outlaws in 2021. <\/p>\n<p class=\"dist__Box-sc-1fnzlkn-0 dist__TextBase-sc-1fnzlkn-3 bYFsJw cuqaEv article-text\">Afterward, Waters joined the Oklahoma City Blue, the Oklahoma City Thunder\u2019s G-League affiliate.
