Tom Cruise was left in awe of Sydney Sweeney after crossing paths with the Hollywood starlet at the Governors Awards earlier this month, a source tells National Enquirer.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe couldn\u2019t wait to meet her in person and walked away raving about how gorgeous and impressive she was,\u201d the source says of the 63-year-old actor.<\/p>\n

Cruise was spotted chatting up Sweeney, 28, in a viral video from the ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 16. Lip reader Jacqui Press told the Daily Mail<\/a> that the pair appeared to be talking about injuries sustained during fight scenes.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve never broken a bone [but] I sliced my face open,\u201d the Christy star is alleged to have told Cruise about her experience on the set of the boxing biopic.<\/p>\n

According to the source, \u201cTom knows Sydney\u2019s dating someone, so there\u2019s no point in asking her out and risking embarrassment, but he\u2019s pleased to have established a line of communication,\u201d noting, \u201cThey\u2019ve got each other\u2019s phone numbers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sweeney is currently in a relationship with Justin Bieber\u2019s former music manager, Scooter Braun<\/a>, while Cruise recently split up from Ana de Armas.<\/p>\n
