It\u2019s Never Over, Jeff Buckley (HBO, Thursday, 9 p.m.) <\/p>\n
As part of HBO\u2019s Music Box series, this Amy Berg-directed documentary digs into one of music\u2019s most enigmatic figures: Jeff Buckley, of the 1994 album Grace and the world\u2019s most haunting cover of Leonard Cohen\u2019s \u201cHallelujah.\u201d In the two-hour-plus project, Buckley\u2014who died by drowning in 1997 at the age of thirty\u2014is remembered by those who knew him well, including Rebecca Moore, Ben Harper, and Aimee Mann.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Spartacus: House Of Ashur (Starz, Friday, 12 a.m., season one premiere)<\/p>\n
The sword-and-sandals Spartacus universe expands on Starz fifteen years after the original series debuted. As the title suggests, the sequel centers on Ashur (Nick E. Tremblay)\u2014who, at least in this timeline, didn\u2019t die on Mount Vesuvius all those years back\u2014as he takes control of the gladiator school that once owned him and contends with the merciless world of Roman politics.
