Late in Sunday\u2019s 26-7 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Buffalo Bills may have received another piece of bad news. Defensive end Joey Bosa was listed as questionable to return to the game with a hamstring injury.<\/p>\n
Bosa\u2019s exit from the game (he did, in fact, not return) was quiet and unnoticed until the Bills made the announcement from the sideline. What was noticed was Bosa\u2019s strip-sack on Pittsburgh quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The forced fumble was the fifth of the year for the Bosa, who is now tied for the team\u2019s single-season record.<\/p>\n
The good news for Buffalo is that Bosa did not appear to be limping after the game as he moved around the field and then headed to the locker room with his team. It\u2019s possible that taking him out of the game was completely cautionary for some tightness the 30-year-old was feeling. It\u2019s just as possible, however, that Bosa suffered a mild strain and could be out for a week or two.<\/p>\n
The fact that he hasn\u2019t missed a game yet this year is something that Los Angeles Chargers\u2019 fans are amazed by. Bosa has only played two complete seasons in his 10-year career, with the last being in 2019.<\/p>\n
With the Bills set to host the Cincinnati Bengals next Sunday afternoon, not having the quarterback-pursuing defensive end could give Joe Burrow too much freedom. Buffalo is already without Michael Hoecht (Achilles) and Landon Jackson (knee) who are on injured reserve. If Bosa can\u2019t play, the Bills have just three defensive ends on their active roster: Greg Rousseau, A.J. Epenesa, and Javon Solomon.<\/p>\n
They do, however, have Morgan Fox on the practice squad. Fox joined the Bills on November 12 and has yet to be activated for game day, meaning that the Bills can call him up for the next three weeks if Bosa needs the rest.
