Callum Turner has become the new bookies favourite to take over the role of James Bond<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The actor, who is known for starring in Masters Of The Air, the Fantastic Beasts films and is currently appearing in fantasy rom-com Eternity, now leads the pack, according to bookmakers Coral.<\/p>\n

Turner now has 7-4 odds of being the next Bond, ahead of other perennial favourites Aaron Taylor-Johnson<\/a> at 3-1 and Henry Cavill<\/a> at 6-1.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been knocked over with support for Callum Turner in our next James Bond betting over the last 24 hours,\u201d said Coral\u2019s John Hill (via Evening Standard<\/a>). \u201cThe British actor is now the red-hot favourite for the role.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Despite the bookies odds of famous names being floated to be the next Bond, it was reported in September that Amazon are looking for a \u201cfresh face\u201d<\/a> to succeed Daniel Craig after he bowed out of the role four years ago, with Deadline<\/a> reporting that they are looking for \u201can unknown\u201d in their late 20s or early 30s.<\/p>\n

The studio took over creative control of the franchise<\/a> earlier this year, with Dune<\/a>\u2018s Denis Villeneuve<\/a> since confirmed as director and Peaky Blinders<\/a>\u2018\u00a0Steven Knight<\/a> announced as writer.<\/p>\n

Former Bond Pierce Brosnan recently floated the idea of playing an older version of 007<\/a>, admitting to GQ<\/a>: \u201cSometimes you entertain it and sometimes you just move on.\u201d<\/p>\n

In other news, back in June it was confirmed that Turner was engaged to Dua Lipa<\/a> following months of rumours.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s very exciting,\u201d the \u2018Don\u2019t Start Now\u2019 singer told British Vogue<\/a>. \u201cThis decision to grow old together, to see a life and just, I don\u2019t know, be best friends forever\u2014it\u2019s a really special feeling.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lipa also revealed that Turner had the engagement ring custom made after speaking to her sister and closest friends, sharing: \u201cI\u2019m obsessed with it. It\u2019s so me.
