The 31-year-old winger finished the week off with a three-point (2g, 1a) performance against the New York Islanders, <a href=\"https:\/\/russianmachineneverbreaks.com\/2025\/11\/30\/tom-wilson-two-goals-islanders-top-five-nhl-over-100-points-pace\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">which saw him climb into the league\u2019s top five in goal scoring<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Capitals\u2019 alternate captain has points in five straight games and notched 17 points (9g, 8a) in 15 total games last month.<\/p>\n<p>Wilson started his high-scoring week with two points (1g, 1a) against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Monday. He then earned the primary assist on John Carlson\u2019s goal to open the scoring against the Winnipeg Jets last Wednesday. The star winger then closed the week with two more multi-point games against the Toronto Maple Leafs (1g, 1a) and the Islanders.<\/p>\n<p>After his big week, Wilson sits first on the Capitals with 29 points (15g, 14a) in 26 games played and is the only player on the team scoring at above a point-per-game rate. He is on pace for 47 goals, 44 assists, and 91 points, which would all be career highs.<\/p>\n<p>Wilson\u2019s tremendous start to the 2025-26 campaign comes as he is <a href=\"https:\/\/russianmachineneverbreaks.com\/2025\/11\/20\/tom-wilson-two-goals-team-canada-doug-armstrong\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">fighting for one of the final spots on Team Canada\u2019s Olympic roster<\/a>. The deadline for submitting the final 25-man roster is later this month, on December 31.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s the full press release from the NHL:<\/p>\n<p>Johnston, Hagel and Wilson Named NHL \u2018Three Stars\u2019 of the Week presented by GEICO<\/p>\n<p>NEW YORK (Dec. 1, 2025) \u2013 Dallas Stars center Wyatt Johnston, Tampa Bay Lightning left wing Brandon Hagel and Washington Capitals right wing Tom Wilson have been named the NHL\u2019s \u201cThree Stars\u201d presented by GEICO for the week ending Nov. 30.<\/p>\n<p>FIRST STAR \u2013 WYATT JOHNSTON, C, DALLAS STARS<\/p>\n<p>Johnston compiled 5-4\u20149 in four games, bookended by a pair of four-point performances, to propel the Stars (17-5-4, 38 points) to a perfect week as they climbed into second place in the overall NHL standings. He registered 1-3\u20144, including his 100th career assist and 200th career point, in an 8-3 victory against the Edmonton Oilers Nov. 25. Johnston, who was held off the scoresheet in a 3-2 win over the Seattle Kraken Nov. 26, then potted the decisive goal (his 13th career game-winner) in a 4-3 triumph versus the Utah Mammoth Nov. 28. He capped the week with 3-1\u20144, his fourth career hat trick as well as his fourth career four-point effort, in a 6-1 victory over the Ottawa Senators Nov. 30. The 22-year-old Johnston, the 23rd overall pick from the 2021 NHL Draft, sits third on Dallas with 16-14\u201430 through 26 total contests this season. He also paces the League in both power-play goals (12 \u2013 five more than the next-closest player) and power-play points (t-18) while ranking among the top performers in overall goals (t-4th; 16) and points (16th; 30).<\/p>\n<p>SECOND STAR \u2013 BRANDON HAGEL, LW, TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING<\/p>\n<p>Hagel topped the NHL with six goals in four contests (6-2\u20148), and shared the League lead with 17 shots on goal and a +9 rating, to lift the Lightning (16-7-2, 34 points) into first place in the Atlantic Division on the strength of a seven-game winning streak dating to Nov. 18. He notched 2-1\u20143, including the decisive goal, in a 3-0 triumph against the Philadelphia Flyers Nov. 24. Hagel then recorded 1-1\u20142 in a 5-1 win versus the Calgary Flames Nov. 26 before scoring once in a 6-3 victory over the Detroit Red Wings Nov. 28. He finished the week with a pair of goals, highlighted by his 19th career game-winner, in a 4-1 decision against the New York Rangers Nov. 29. The 27-year-old Hagel, a sixth-round pick (159th overall) from the 2016 NHL Draft (by BUF), places second on Tampa Bay with 15-12\u201427 through 24 total appearances this season, aided by a five-game goal\/point streak dating to Nov. 22 (8-4\u201412). He registered 1-1\u20142, including the decisive goal, in a 5-1 victory against the Columbus Blue Jackets Nov. 24. Wilson then collected one assist in a 4-3 triumph over the Winnipeg Jets Nov. 26, followed by 1-1\u20142 in a 4-2 win versus the Toronto Maple Leafs Nov. 28. He closed the week with 2-1\u20143, highlighted by his 30th career game-winning goal, in a 4-1 victory over the New York Islanders Nov. 30 to move into eighth place on Washington\u2019s all-time goals list. Wilson\u2019s eight points ranked tied for third among all skaters, trailing only Tampa Bay\u2019s Nikita Kucherov (1g-9a\u201310p in 4 GP) and Dallas\u2019 Wyatt Johnston (5g-4a\u20139p in 4 GP). Wilson, who is riding five-game point and assist streaks (4g-5a\u20139p in 5 GP), recorded multiple points in three of his four outings last week, including a three-point performance (2g, 1a) on Nov. 30 against the New York Islanders. With his two goals on Long Island, Wilson (194 career goals) passed T.J. Oshie (192) and Dave Christian (193) for eighth place on the franchise\u2019s all-time goals list. The 6\u20194\u201d, 225-pound forward leads the Capitals in goals, points, power-play goals (5), power-play points (7), even-strength points (22), points-per-game (1.12) and hits (69). Wilson\u2019s 15 goals are tied for the eighth most in the NHL, while his 29 points rank tied for 18th among all skaters.
