Alexis Mac Allister<\/a> has insisted that he feels \u201cgood\u201d both mentally and physically after having his fitness questioned throughout the season so far.<\/p>\n

Liverpool\u2019s No. 10 has been unable to replicate the high standards he set last season, not that he is the only one, after a disrupted summer due to injury.<\/p>\n

After being managed at the backend of last season, Mac Allister then had a compromised pre-season due to injury, which has seen Arne Slot<\/a> continually preach for patience. <\/p>\n

Mac Allister has, however, now played the full 90 minutes for three successive games for the first time since April, and after the win at West Ham<\/a> addressed his fitness status. <\/p>\n

\u201cI feel there was a lot of talking about me and how I feel physically,\u201d he said, via the Liverpool Echo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be completely honest, it\u2019s been a long time that I feel good and I know that when you lose people are going to keep talking and talking and talking. <\/p>\n

\u201cBut it is completely fine. I feel good mentally and physically. So I just need to show it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mac Allister\u2019s final words are true of not only him but the entire Liverpool squad after lacklustre performances that have seen the team lose nine of the last 13 and concede first in 10 of those games.<\/p>\n

The Argentine is not the only player who has suffered from a disrupted summer that bled into the season, with Alexander Isak<\/a> in a similar situation of needing to show his best.<\/p>\n

His first Premier League<\/a> goal for the club against West Ham<\/a> was an important step in that process, and Mac Allister has revealed that he often speaks Spanish with the striker.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he\u2019s an amazing player, we all know that,\u201d Mac Allister said of the No. 9. \u201cI was joking with him because he doesn\u2019t even smile when he scores!<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m really happy because he deserves it, the same for Florian. I think he played a really good game. He played really good. So it\u2019s important that they\u2019re getting to their level.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlex is very quiet. He likes to be on his own sometimes. You can see that I just try to speak to him because his Spanish is quite good as well. But yeah, he\u2019s a quiet guy and we are all happy to have him here.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey (the new signings) are really good people. We are all in the same boat trying to get out of this situation and they are very positive. They give their best.
