Happy Days<\/a> aren’t just here to stay. The cast of the beloved sitcom seems to enjoy each other’s company so much, they’ve never faded away.\n<\/p>\n

Series star Henry Winkler<\/a> gathered together with his old pals, Anson Williams<\/a> and Don Most<\/a>, for a mini cast reunion that Williams shared to his Facebook<\/a> on Sunday. “Three Amigos Together Again! Truly Happy Days!” he wrote in the caption of a picture of the former costars cheesing to high heaven while attending Fan Expo San Francisco at the Moscone Center.\n<\/p>\n

It’s been 41 years since Happy Days completed its 11-season run on ABC, and a staggering 51 years since the classic sitcom first premiered.\n<\/p>\n

The series, which chronicled the highs and (infrequent) lows of the denizens of a Milwaukee hamlet in the 1950s made stars of the lion’s share of its cast, Winkler, Williams, and Most included. Winkler, however, became Happy Days’ true breakout as the tough-talking, bike-riding, leather-clad Arthur “Fonzie” Fonzarelli.\n<\/p>\n

Williams referring to himself, Most, and Winkler as the “Three Amigos” wasn’t just a bit of creative camaraderie. In a Happy Days context, the term actually refers to the nickname Fonzie, Potsie (Williams), and Ralph Malph (Most) gave themselves after their characters grew quite close in the series’ second season.\n<\/p>\n

Though Winkler and Williams remained in the core cast of the series throughout its full run, Most left after season 7, having grown “concerned I was getting so associated with that role that it was going to be more and more difficult for me to break away,” as he explained in 2021<\/a>. Most also suggested that “the material was not as good as it was in the earlier stage,” but he did return for the series’ final season in 1983.\n<\/p>\n

Various permutations of the Happy Days cast have reunited over the years, with Winkler almost always holding the center together.\n<\/p>\n

Most recently, Winkler, Williams, Most, and their costar (like Most) of seven seasons, Ron Howard, shared a momentous reunion<\/a> at a special fan event in April. “I’m just emotional here,” Winkler told the room, calling the reunion “the first time that we have appeared this way in 50 years.”\n<\/p>\n

“The show evolved as, really, an ensemble,” Howard added. “We were a unit, we were a community, and also, I think for us, it was kind of like our coming-of-age story. We were just growing up through this process.
