JEN Shah\u2019s future on television is still looking bright despite the reality star serving nearly three years in prison for orchestrating a nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme, The U.S. Sun has learned.\u00a0<\/p>\n
After Bravo<\/a> boss Andy Cohen<\/a> made it clear that the reality star would not be returning to The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City<\/a>, opportunity appears to be knocking in a new, unexpected way.\u00a0<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\tSign up for The US Sun newsletter\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\tThank you!\n\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Jen Shah posing for The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City before her prison sentenceCredit: Getty<\/p>\n Jen Shah, currently incarcerated at a federal prison camp in Bryan, Texas, is seen taking out the trashCredit: BackGrid<\/p>\n According to a production source, DWTS<\/a> producers are already looking to cast Jen<\/a>, 52, for season 35 following her upcoming release from prison<\/a> on December 10.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cDWTS is eyeing Jen Shah for next season,\u201d an insider said while immediately adding: \u201cThey know, they know. They know the backlash will be loud, but frankly, they aren\u2019t scared of it.\u201d<\/p>\n The source went on to explain: \u201cThey\u2019ve cast Sean Spicer. Bristol Palin. Anna Delvey.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThey aren\u2019t afraid to make a splash. Obviously, nothing is for sure yet since she hasn\u2019t even been released yet.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cBut people on the show\u2019s side have been in touch with members of her team.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n The U.S. Sun has reached out to reps for both Jen and DWTS.\u00a0<\/p>\n Jen poses with her husband, Coach Shah, inside of her Texas prison facilityCredit: Instagram\/therealjenshah<\/p>\n Jen and Coach Shah celebrate their anniversary from her prisonCredit: Instagram\/therealjenshah<\/p>\n During a behind-the-scenes Q&A over the Summer at his show, Watch What Happens Live<\/a>, Andy was asked who had less of a chance of returning to RHOSLC, Jen or fellow controversial alum, Monica Garcia<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cJen Shah \u2013 I never want to see again,\u201d Andy fired off without hesitation.\u00a0<\/p>\n Additionally, Bravo executive Frances Berwick, who is in charge of the network\u2019s unscripted programming, echoed a similar message.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a variety of things, and it\u2019s also about the level of accountability, the level of change that that person is going to make,\u201d she told Variety about Housewives who have served time for crimes returning to TV.<\/p>\n \u201cThe audience is with Karen [Huger], because they\u2019re rooting for her, because they think and believe that this will profoundly change her.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI took the standing ovation as a sign of support for somebody who\u2019s now taken accountability. That\u2019s borne out by what she says to Andy.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cAnd then I think that there are things that are less forgivable,\u201d she added, acknowledging Karen\u2019s DUI arrest.<\/p>\n When Jen was specifically mentioned as being \u201cless forgivable,\u201d the exec confirmed, explaining: \u201cFor me personally, yeah. But you know, again, I have no idea on the level of accountability. But yes.\u201d<\/p>\n LIFE BEHIND BARS<\/p>\n Jen began serving her 6.5 year prison sentence in February 2023 but had her release date bumped up several times.\u00a0<\/p>\n Now, Jen will officially be released from the Federal Prison Camp<\/a> in Bryan, Texas<\/a>, on December 10 following less than 3 years serving time.\u00a0<\/p>\n This came after she pled guilty in July 2022 to conspiracy to commit wire fraud<\/a> in connection with a scheme that targeted thousands of vulnerable victims, including the elderly.<\/p>\n Jen was a main cast member on RHOSLC from its first season, which premiered in November 2020, up until her departure in season 3 \u2013 which captured the aftermath of her arrest. <\/p>\n RHOSLC has continued to thrive without Jen, as it is current airing its explosive fifth season starring Lisa Barlow<\/a>, Meredith Marks<\/a>, Heather Gay<\/a>, Whitney Rose<\/a>, Mary M.
