Amy Schumer<\/a>\u00a0continues to share how her health impacted her weight loss journey.\n<\/p>\n On Monday, Dec. 1, Schumer<\/a>, 44, posted an Instagram Reel<\/a> filmed by her son Gene<\/a>, 6, whom she shares with husband Chris Fischer<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n The video began with Schumer lounging in bed, and continued with Gene sharing a peek at the family’s home. While the video itself included a tour of various rooms, Schumer added text clarifying “questions” about her weight loss journey.\n<\/p>\n She began by stating that she doesn’t get Botox or filler, and said despite reports she didn’t lose 30 lbs., she lost 50. “Not to look hot which does feel fun and temporary,” she wrote. “I did it to survive.”\n<\/p>\n “I had a disease that makes your face extremely puffy that can kill you, but the internet caught it, and the disease has cleared,” she wrote seemingly in reference to her\u00a0Cushing syndrome<\/a>\u00a0diagnosis.\n<\/p>\n Cushing syndrome is a condition where the body has too much cortisol (the primary stress hormone), per the\u00a0Mayo Clinic<\/a>. The Trainwreck star reiterated that she’s had plastic surgery “over the years” and uses Mounjaro<\/a>. “Sorry to anyone that lets down.”\n<\/p>\n But she said, she’s now “pain free” and “can [play] tag” with Gene.\n<\/p>\n She also remarked on her\u00a0perimenopause,<\/a>\u00a0which she revealed in February 2024 that she was experiencing alongside her\u00a0endometriosis<\/a>\u00a0diagnosis. “Happy to share if anyone has any questions about how I’m looking or feeling or where I am in my perimenopause process.”\n<\/p>\n Perimenopause is the transitional period before menopause<\/a>\u00a0when levels of estrogen start to decrease, according to the\u00a0Cleveland Clinic<\/a>. In a Nov. 6 Instagram Story<\/a>, she shared a picture of New York City and praised Hulu’s new series\u00a0All’s Fair. “And Chris and I are still married,” she added in the caption.\n<\/p>\n She’s also responded to comments about her weight loss journey. In October, she shared via Instagram how she’s “feeling strong” and like herself.<\/a> “I\u2019m enjoying how I look, but man it is all about how you feel,” she wrote in the since-deleted Instagram carousel.<\/p>\n
