A popular 1980s band is back with new concert dates, four years after planning to say goodbye with a farewell tour.<\/p>\n

The B-52\u2019s announced two co-headlining shows with Devo in the UK next year. The New Wave groups will perform together at The O2 in London on June 20, 2026, and at the AO Arena in Manchester on June 21, 2026.<\/p>\n

The B-52\u2019s also added three concerts at their Las Vegas residency \u201cdue to overwhelming demand,\u201d playing the Venetian on April 22, 24, and 26.<\/p>\n

Tickets go on sale Friday, Dec. 5, via Ticketmaster<\/a>. Fans can also look for tickets on Vivid Seats<\/a>, StubHub<\/a>, and Seat Geek<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to Ultimate Classic Rock<\/a>, The B-52\u2019s previously have done two farewell tours, to celebrate their 40th anniversary in 2019 and a \u201cfinal\u201d trek in 2022. But the band played on, booking a residency at the The Venetian Las Vegas in 2023 and continuing to perform this year, including at the \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d 50th anniversary concert.<\/p>\n

The new tour dates with Devo even joke about not really saying goodbye, calling the concerts \u201cOne Last Orbit (Maybe?)\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s hard for us to end. We\u2019re still having a good time, and it\u2019s still wonderful to look into the audience,\u201d singer Cindy Wilson told Classic Pop<\/a> earlier this year. \u201cSeeing those happy faces and people grooving \u2013 that\u2019ll keep you going, right there! You think we would be over it by now, but it\u2019s a lot of fun.\u201d<\/p>\n

The B-52\u2019s are a Grammy Award-winning pop\/rock\/New Wave band best known for hits like \u201cRock Lobster\u201d (from their 1979 debut album), \u201cPrivate Idaho\u201d (1980), \u201cLove Shack\u201d (1989),” \u201c(Shake That) Cosmic Thing\u201d (1989) and \u201cRoam\u201d (1990). They also covered \u201cThe Flintstones\u201d theme song for the 1994 live-action movie starring John Goodman and appeared in the film as the fictional group The BC-52\u2019s, playing \u201cThe Bedrock Twitch.\u201d <\/p>\n

The B-52\u2019s formed in 1976 with Fred Schneider, Kate Pierson, Keith Strickland, Cindy Wilson and Ricky Wilson. Ricky Wilson died in 1985 and Strickland retired from touring in 2013, but the rest of the original lineup is still performing.<\/p>\n

Schneider told Classic Pop in May that he\u2019s still working with his synthpop group, the Superions, with two new albums on the way. Wilson said The B-52\u2019s could potentially release more music, too.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe could do a little bit more B-52s music. I believe that could happen,\u201d Wilson said. \u201cIt makes us all feel better to work, and do something that\u2019s collectively positive.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s great to be able to do that, and that\u2019s why we\u2019re keeping at it. Will we make another record together? I\u2019m not supposed to say… So I can\u2019t say anything\u2026 wink wink!\u201d<\/p>\n
