New York, like nearly every other team, has most of its roster as free agents, but Kolb said after the season he expected the core of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/wnba\/breanna-stewart-player\" class=\"entity\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Breanna Stewart<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/wnba\/sabrina-ionescu-player\" class=\"entity\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sabrina Ionescu<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/wnba\/jonquel-jones-player\" class=\"entity\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jonquel Jones<\/a> back.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ff-h fs-16 lh-1pt6 mg-b-15 article-content\" use-external-image=\"true\" data-v-160ccf97=\"\">The Liberty let Sandy Brondello go soon after their loss in the first round of the WNBA playoffs this past season. She helped guide the team to its first WNBA championship in 2024. She was recently hired by the Toronto expansion team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ff-h fs-16 lh-1pt6 mg-b-15 article-content\" use-external-image=\"true\" data-v-160ccf97=\"\">DeMarco has been the Bahamian national team coach since 2019. Jones hails from that island nation.
