We\u2019re used to seeing Whoopi Goldberg<\/a> trip the swear censors \u2014 or sometimes stopping herself from blurting out a curse word \u2014 but on Wednesday\u2019s (December 3) episode of The View<\/a>, it was Sara Haines<\/a> who got the bleep-out treatment.<\/p>\n

The cohosts were discussing Donald Trump<\/a>\u2018s latest cabinet meeting and his statement that Somali immigrants were costing the state of Minnesota \u201cbillions of dollars,\u201d that they are \u201cgarbage,\u201d and \u201cdo nothing but b****.\u201d<\/p>\n

Whoopi Goldberg repeated Trump\u2019s words back without being censored, as she said, \u201cIt\u2019s funny about b***ing. People should always look in the mirror when they\u2019re talking about that.\u201d<\/p>\n

She then went on to ask her cohosts whether the \u201csmoke and mirrors\u201d routine of \u201cdemonizing immigrants\u201d will continue to work for Trump.<\/p>\n

Joy Behar<\/a> answered, \u201cIt seems like every time his numbers drop, or he perceives that his popularity is dropping, no matter how much tush-kissing the cabinet does on him \u2014 it\u2019s really disgusting to watch them kiss his butt \u2014 but anyway, every time that happens, he pulls out a race card. Last time, it was the Haitians who were eating the pets, and now it\u2019s the Somalis in Minnesota.\u201d<\/p>\n

That\u2019s when Haines weighed in to say, \u201cThe problem is how he handles it. He had a valid criticism. This is rated as the number-one fraud scheme during the pandemic. These were programs that were supposed to feed kids. So there have been 59 people convicted. It was over $1 billion. That\u2019s a big deal. And it\u2019s not about the Somalis. It\u2019s about those people that were convicted making bad decisions. You don\u2019t paint it with that kind of block, but he\u2019s missing a win here. They did uncover it. They are fixing it. This was a problem, but because of how he talks about it, now it becomes all the Somalis, it\u2019s everyone\u2026\u201d What she said from there, though, was inaudible as the censors kicked in. \u201cSorry, Brian,\u201d she then said to her executive producer, Brian Teta. \u201cI was quoting [Trump].\u201d<\/p>\n

Ana Navarro<\/a> then spoke up to note, \u201cHe does this over and over again, right? He likes to do it particularly with immigrant groups that come from poor countries that are majority Black or brown, right, correct. I never heard him try to paint the Italian portion of the mafia. I\u2019ve never heard him talk about the mafia, the Russian mafia, that\u2019s in North Miami Beach.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s scared of them,\u201d Behar suggested.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou might have a point there,\u201d Navarro laughed.<\/p>\n
