Prince Harry<\/a> made a surprise appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert<\/a> on Wednesday (December 3) to \u201caudition\u201d for a Hallmark Christmas movie, during which he took a jab at President Donald Trump<\/a>.<\/p>\n Stephen Colbert<\/a> was finishing up his opening monologue when the Duke of Sussex interrupted, asking if he was in the right place to audition for the role of the \u201cGingerbread Prince\u201d in a made-up Hallmark holiday film<\/a>. Colbert had to let Harry know he\u2019d made a mistake and also questioned why he\u2019d want to even star in such a movie.<\/p>\n \u201cWell, you Americans are obsessed with Christmas movies, and you\u2019re clearly obsessed with royalty, so why not?\u201d Harry answered.<\/p>\n \u201cHold on, I wouldn\u2019t say we\u2019re obsessed with royalty,\u201d the late-night host replied.<\/p>\n Harry then quipped, \u201cReally? I heard you elected a king.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The Prince\u2019s comment was a clear shot at Trump, who referred to himself as a king<\/a> in February while boasting about pulling the plug on a New York City toll plan. At the time, the official White House X account posted a mock Time cover with Trump in a crown. This move, along with Trump\u2019s bold use of his executive power, has led to several \u201cNo Kings\u201d protests<\/a> across the United States.<\/p>\n Harry continued, making a dig at Americans electing Trump, \u201cafter making such a big deal about my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather, George III.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWell, he was kind of a jerk,\u201d Colbert retorted.<\/p>\n Harry\u2019s swipes didn\u2019t stop there.
