The Boston Bruins have been slumping lately<\/a>, losing six of their last 10 games. They\u2019ve struggled without star forward David Pastrnak, who hasn\u2019t played since Nov. 26 due to an undisclosed injury<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The Bruins have lost two of their three games without Pastrnak, who\u2019s expected to remain sidelined<\/a> the rest of the week. He\u2019ll likely miss tonight\u2019s game against the St. Louis Blues and Saturday\u2019s game versus the New Jersey Devils, both of which are at home.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear when Pastrnak will be able to return. Boston heads out on a three-game road trip next week, but it\u2019s unknown if he will travel with the team.<\/p>\n

Bruins play-by-play announcer Judd Sirott provided an update on Pastrnak<\/a> during his Thursday morning appearance on WEEI.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a total unknown,\u201d Sirott said. \u201cMy guess is \u2014 if he doesn\u2019t go on the trip, and hopefully he does \u2014 that he skates here in Brighton while the team is on the road so you have him ready when they come back, because you\u2019ve got a couple of big divisional games.\u201d<\/p>\n

Head coach Marco Sturm has not said much about Pastrnak\u2019s mysterious injury, making it tough to predict when the four-time All-Star might return. If he doesn\u2019t come back during their upcoming road trip, he could return during their five-game homestand before Christmas.<\/p>\n

In the meantime, the Bruins will try to persevere without one of their best players and patiently wait until he returns.<\/p>\n
