Skeet Ulrich exclusively confirmed to The Post that he was set to appear in \u201cScream 7,\u201d<\/a> until Melissa Barrera was fired from her role<\/a> as Billy\u2019s daughter, Sam Carpenter, due to the actress\u2019s social media posts about the Israel-Hamas war. <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m not involved. I\u2019m really excited though,\u201d the \u201cFive Nights at Freddy\u2019s 2\u201d<\/a> star, 55, told The Post. \u201cI\u2019m excited for [\u201cScream\u201d creator] Kevin Williamson to take the helm and to see what the mastermind of it all comes up with. It was a three-picture arc for Billy Loomis, or the imagination of Billy Loomis in Melissa Barrera\u2019s character\u2019s head. But when all that went down with her, obviously you lose her and you lose what\u2019s in her head.\u201d<\/p>\n Ulrich revealed \u201che used to know\u201d the full plot of \u201cScream 7\u201d and it \u201cwas really, really interesting.\u201d But now, he\u2019s in the dark like the fans.<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know how Matt\u2019s back,\u201d he added, referring to his \u201cScream\u201d co-star Matthew Lillard, who is returning for the upcoming film. \u201cI have no idea, which I\u2019m kind of excited for, to see it and not know.\u201d<\/p>\n Skeet Ulrich and Matthew Lillard at the \u201cFive Nights at Freddy\u2019s 2\u201d premiere on December 2. Over 20 years later, Ulrich returned to the horror franchise for \u201cScream 5\u201d<\/a> (2022) and \u201cScream 6\u201d <\/a>(2023), both of which featured Billy appearing in visions to his daughter. <\/p>\n But ahead of filming for \u201cScream 7,\u201d Barrera was cut from the movie<\/a> <\/a>for what the film\u2019s production company, Spyglass, deemed as antisemitic posts about the Israel-Hamas war.
