{"id":330504,"date":"2025-12-04T18:43:11","date_gmt":"2025-12-04T18:43:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/330504\/"},"modified":"2025-12-04T18:43:11","modified_gmt":"2025-12-04T18:43:11","slug":"man-accused-of-unlicensed-botox-injections-at-brickell-clinic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/330504\/","title":{"rendered":"Man accused of unlicensed Botox injections at Brickell clinic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">MIAMI \u2014 A 39-year-old man is facing two felony charges after authorities said he was providing cosmetic injections without a license out of an office in Miami\u2019s Brickell neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.local10.com\/espanol\/2025\/12\/04\/acusan-a-hombre-de-aplicar-inyecciones-de-botox-sin-licencia-en-una-clinica-de-brickell\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.local10.com\/espanol\/2025\/12\/04\/acusan-a-hombre-de-aplicar-inyecciones-de-botox-sin-licencia-en-una-clinica-de-brickell\/\">Leer en espa\u00f1ol<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Deputies with the Miami-Dade Sheriff\u2019s Office arrested Yumyut Sali Mustafa, also known as Yumit Mustafa, after an undercover operation on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Investigators said Mustafa ran YM Aesthetics Miami out of an office in the Latitude One building at 175 SW Seventh St. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">On the YM Aesthetics <a href=\"https:\/\/ymaestheticsclinic.com\/about\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/ymaestheticsclinic.com\/about\/\">website<\/a>, Mustafa, listed in his arrest report as a Bulgarian-born British national, also touts an office in London.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Investigators said a Florida Department of Health undercover operative set up a Botox appointment with Mustafa on Wednesday. Deputies said the operative, communicating with him, \u201casked if she was texting Dr. Mustafa,\u201d to which he replied, \u201cI am indeed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Authorities said when the operative met with Mustafa for a $599 forehead injection, he told her that the product he would be using was approved by the Food and Drug Administration. Investigators said it later turned out that the product was Re-N-Tox, \u201ca foreign and unapproved product from South Korea (that) cannot be dispensed in the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Investigators said the operative gave a takedown signal after Mustafa showed her the vial and deputies from MDSO\u2019s Medical Crimes Unit moved in to arrest him.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Mustafa, who also lives in Brickell, faces felony charges of practicing health care without a license, possession of a prescription drug with intent to sell and a misdemeanor charge of misrepresenting himself as a licensed physician.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Responding to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/contrib\/112581388664303889612\/reviews?hl=en-US\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/contrib\/112581388664303889612\/reviews?hl=en-US\">one-star Google review<\/a> that stated in part, \u201cJust so you all know, this person is not licensed to provide injectables,\u201d an account identified as the owner of YM Aesthetics responded, in part, \u201cWe take concerns about licensing and professional conduct very seriously.
