Travis Kelce<\/a> made a bold statement about the Chiefs’ chances of making the playoffs.\n<\/p>\n Kelce, 36, reflected on the Chiefs’ Thanksgiving loss to the Dallas Cowboys on the latest episode of New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n The tight end said he’s “sure everyone is sick of us saying it,” before claiming the 6-6 Chiefs are “a few plays away from being a one seed in my mind.”\n<\/p>\n Kelce said that the Chiefs are “holding teams at the right moment” but added that the team was “just not scoring enough.”\n<\/p>\n Travis Kelce on Nov. 2, 2025 in New York.<\/p>\n Kevin Sabitus\/Getty<\/p>\n Kelce noted that the Chiefs have been “within one score” in each of their losses this season.\n<\/p>\n “And there’s been a handful of plays within those games that are determining the outcome,” he said.\n<\/p>\n “It’s hard, it’s plays like my drop against the Eagles,” he said, referring to their game in week 2. “It’s penalties that are keeping us behind the sticks, it’s coming away with three points instead of touchdowns in some games.”\n<\/p>\n As the Chiefs look to win out in their final five games of the regular season, Kelce remains optimistic.\n<\/p>\n “What’s real is that we still have a chance, baby, and that’s all that f—ing matters to me, is we got a chance and we keep coming into work with the mentality and the sense of urgency that we need to have to get the ship fixed,” Kelce said.\n<\/p>\n Travis Kelce on Oct. 6, 2025 in Florida.<\/p>\n Mike Carlson\/Getty<\/p>\n Kelce added that the Chiefs need to “turn those handful of plays that are losing us the game into a handful of plays that win us these games” in their next matchups.\n<\/p>\n Despite the Chiefs’ frustrating record this season, Kelce, who may or may not return for another year<\/a> in the NFL, broke a franchise record on Nov. 16.
