Sophie Segreti got gaslit by \u201cSurvivor.\u201d <\/p>\n
After being voted off on the latest episode of \u201cSurvivor 49,\u201d<\/a> the 31-year-old strategy associate exclusively told The Post how she felt about her near-invisible edit during the pre-merge portion<\/a> of the season.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s funny because it honestly felt a lot like gaslighting in that I was there. I lived those days. I was at those challenges. I was a part of this game for those 13 or so days before the merge, but like very little of that is shown,\u201d Segreti said. <\/p>\n Sophie Segreti in her interview with The Post. What\u2019s going on?\u2019 And it really makes you question like, \u2018Was I actually a part of 49? Did I play the game?’\u201d<\/p>\n Segreti pointed out that since the contestants can\u2019t document their time on the show themselves, they\u2019re stuck \u201crelying on the edit\u201d to confirm everything they saw and heard. <\/p>\n \u201cAnd when it doesn\u2019t, it\u2019s extremely upsetting,\u201d she shared. \u201cSo I was super bummed to not get airtime early on.\u201d<\/p>\n Sophie Segreti on \u201cSurvivor\u201d Season 49. Robert Voets\/CBS<\/p>\n But the New Yorker acknowledged that being on undefeated tribes until the merge didn\u2019t help her case. <\/p>\n \u201cPart of it, of course, is logistics,\u201d she said. \u201cWhen your team is winning and you\u2019re not going to tribal, that\u2019s a big part of the episode that you\u2019re just not a part of. I would play again simply to compete and do those challenges again,\u201d she explained. \u201cAlso because I\u2019m like, damn, the no eating, no salt, no alcohol skin routine is really working for me. How do I get that back? I can\u2019t recreate that in New York City.
